Ballarat Function Centre accommodates the following formats:

  • Up to 1000 people as a generous cocktail mingling and networking space
  • Up to 200 people in a classroom format with tables and forward-facing chairs
  • Up to 400 people as a theatre audience or congregation seating

Will we see greyhounds racing?

Because many racing fans and club members attend our regular race meetings, Ballarat Function Centre is not available for private events on Monday afternoons, Wednesday evenings throughout the year.

That said, we welcome group bookings to dine at our race meetings. With delicious meals and full bar services available, plus free track admission and TAB on site, you and your friends will experience all the excitement of greyhound racing in Ballarat. Simply call 5335 7201 to book your table.

For all other private, corporate and community events held at Ballarat Function Centre, please be advised that Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club track activities – which may include greyhound training, track maintenance, lawn mowing etc – may be witnessed from the venue. Importantly, we’ll do our best to minimise any outside noise or possible disruptions during your event, if considered necessary.
